Illinois Missionary Receives Soy-based Food Processing Training
April 6, 2009...The National Soybean Research Laboratory staff demonstrated a VitaGoat, a soy-foods processing technology to Sparta, Illinois missionary Robert Holloway. His interests in soy protein complement the work of the World Soy Foundation.
Holloway is fighting malnutrition in the southeast African nation of Malawi. He has already seen the value of soymilk in the children’s ward of a hospital, school and orphanage.
Tom Mulch, the pastor of Memorial Presbyterian Church in Assumption and his congregation will purchase three VitaGoat soy processing systems that Holloway will install as well as providing training to local people on how to process soybeans into soyfoods.


Illinois missionary Robert Holloway received NSRL training on how to produce soyfoods in developing countries without the need for any electricity. The Assumption Illinois Presbyterian Church will purchase three VitaGoat soy processing units that Holloway will install in Malawi.
