Cargill Awards World Soy Foundation The Largest Gift To Date

October 9, 2008...Source: ASA Leader Letter..Cargill this week awarded $500,000 to the World Soy Foundation (WSF), a program of the American Soybean Association's World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (WISHH). The funding will be used to implement nutritional programs in Central America, including Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua for the next three years.

Cargill began providing funds for activities in Honduras through WISHH in 2003. In 2007, that support shifted to WSF. "We applaud Cargill for its commitment to the work of our young Foundation. Indeed, Cargill is our largest corporate donor to date and we are most appreciative," said WSF Interim Chairman Phil Bradshaw.
